Erika started her career at The Elliot Hospital (Manchester, NH) on the labor and delivery and maternity units for 2 years, followed by 9 years at Dover’s Garrison Women’s Health Center (her second family). She’s excited to now experience another side of supporting moms, babies and their entire families in a non-medical way.
Erika was a bit blindsided by her insecurity as a new mom. She thought she’d be a pro. That feeling of insecurity really opened her eyes to the importance of continued support AFTER your baby enters the world. “The 4th trimester” can be beautiful, transformational, challenging, exhausting, scary, empowering, along with many many more emotions. A focus of hers when working with families will be to recognize those challenging, scary, exhausting times and help support you through them, empowering you with up to date information and compassionate care. And sleep! Because, well, who doesn’t want more sleep?
She lives in Rollinsford, NH with her husband, 4 children, 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 flocks of chickens and 3 pigs! When she’s not shuffling all the kids around between school and activities she enjoys knitting, sewing, cooking, baking and most recently interested in antiquing! Erika has become a new mom 4 times and after each birth, the dynamics shifted in the family and there were challenges in each phase. She says, “There is beauty in each phase even if you have to really squint to see it.”
